    Job Title: Resident Service Coordinator
    Job Description:
    Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
     Assesses Resident needs and provides information and referral for social services
     Help residents with applying & maintaining social services, entitlement and monitor on-site resident services
     Perform community building activities, perform enhanced socialization opportunities & make presentations (educational & informational)
     Advocate for Residents
     Maintain files (both paper and electronic records)
     Attend department meetings, serve on agency committees and attend other administrative duties
     May monitor social service contracts with providers and assist in the preparation of program proposals, budgets, and applications for federal and local funding for community supportive services.
     Perform other duties as assigned.
     An associate’s degree in Social Services, Human Resource Services or related field.
     A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in social work, housing programs and community development programming or a combination (both paid and volunteer experience will be considered).
     Knowledge of supportive services and community resources available for older adults with disabilities, principles and practices of social service counseling and case management.
     Strong and positive ability to handle client interactions with courtesy, tact and sensitivity to the issues involved.
     Effectively deal with a diverse resident group, culturally and ethnically.
     Strong verbal and written communication skills.
     Strong skills and familiarity with a computer with Windows-based software.
     Frequent contact with residents, resident councils, facility mangers, and indirectly with Housing Authority staff to organize services providers both public and private.
     Have knowledge of Hamilton County Job and Family Services for seniors, persons with disabilities and Families (highly preferred but not required)
    . Reliable transportation, auto insurance, a good driving record and a valid State of Ohio Driver’s License highly recommended throughout employment.
     Travel between properties required.
